Alias for kids

how to play

  • For the Alias game, you will need cards with simple words. For children who can't read, images are added to the cards for easy understanding.

  • You can play in teams or pairs.

  • Player #1 is called to the game board. He draws a card with a given word. His task is to describe the word on the card using associations and suggestive phrases without naming it. For example, if the card has a hedgehog drawn on it, you can give the following description: it is an animal with many spines on its back, it loves apples and carrots.

  • What's required from other players? To guess as quickly as possible what word is on the card. The more precise the description given by Player #1, the easier it is for the other players to guess the correct answer.

  • An important condition is that each player is given only 1 minute to describe the cards (you can set a timer on your phone or use an hourglass). Therefore, the player must try to describe, and the other players must try to guess as many words as possible within the given time. The team that guesses the most words wins. To tally the final result, you can count the number of guessed cards.
